Existence, to Skipper, is colder than their natural habitat in the arctic—it is unkind, mischievous, in a state of perpetual scheming. The world grates against Skipper, the universe is inherently weaponized against him. He has to be suspicious—he can’t afford not to be. There are dangers lurking in every corner, dangers that they must protect others from. The Penguins and their job, their calling. He’s resilient in the field.
Julien is… predictable, in an odd way. He doesn’t pose an immediate threat, remains carefree, floating through life. It’s infuriating, how little Skipper fears him. He’s weaker, sure, but—
