Summary:

She wants love, and Hemlock can give it until existence ceases to exist.

Notes:

Hemlock uses they/them but is female aligned. I hope OCs are OK for this event---the prompt was simply too perfectly How I Envision This Ship for me to write anything else.

100ships prompt 8: mint

Work Text:

Once upon a time they had worshiped something else, a falseness that was sinful in its lack of Isabel, a different concept of divinity. All that remains now is her—Isabel, and her frame, reclined over their soft bed.

Hemlock remains on their knees, allows Isabel's lavender-painted fingernails to grasp their mint hair, pulling on each soft green strand, positioning Hemlock into place. Her other hand cups Hemlock's chin and points their gaze upwards.

"My faithful little devotee, just look at you," she whispers, half a mock. "Go on. Be good now."

Hemlock kisses down her stomach, hands rolling over every inch of perfect holy flesh, touching a being that cannot be touched. Their mouth brings them solace and redemption when they press it into Isabel's skin, fluttering kisses all over her body.

"You are everything," they breathe. "You are the universe to me."

Isabel strokes their cheek, mint-tinted tufts of loose hair sticking against her. "Of course I am," she says. Hemlock knows nothing besides the time stream they absorbed, their direct connection to Isabel's consciousness creating an eternally unfolding spiral of pleasure in their body too as their lips focus in on her thighs.

They try not to pry, but they can't keep the barriers up when they're worshiping. It's too difficult; they love too much, their love is fanged and starved and consuming. Their love has seeped into the encoding of their soul and Hemlock thinks that if they focused hard enough, they could spread their devotion across the time stream, pouring it into each timeline and fixing the universe, problem by problem, brick by brick, with love.

She's not evil. She wants love, and Hemlock can give it until existence ceases to exist. Hemlock no longer exists in that world of suffocation. When they were decreated it was seen as a divine gift. Hemlock's agony faded as they faded, their trauma dispersing across centuries.

Now they have been saved.

Hemlock obeys. Isabel will never love her back beyond simple fascination, but it doesn't matter; Hemlock obeys.
